1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Merchant”, “User”, “you”) and autoUPI Gateway(“we”, “us”, “our”), governing your access to and use of the website at autoupigateway.com, our developer APIs, dashboard, payment link generation software, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, registering as a merchant, integrating our API, or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into binding contracts, and agree to abide by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of the Service

autoUPI Gateway provides self-managed UPI payment enablement tools for businesses and developers operating in India. Our services include:

  • Dynamic UPI QR code generation and branded payment link hosting.
  • REST APIs for creating orders, querying status, and configuring webhooks.
  • Automated payment detection via read-only mailbox transaction alert scanning.
  • Cryptographically signed webhook notifications to merchant backend systems.

autoUPI Gateway is a technology software provider and payment facilitator tool. autoUPI Gateway does not hold customer funds in escrow, does not process banking settlements, and does not operate as an RBI-regulated bank or payment system operator. Customer funds transfer directly from the payer's bank account to the merchant's linked UPI VPA without intermediary custody by autoUPI Gateway.

3. Merchant Account & Responsibilities

When registering for an account, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information, including a valid email address, mobile number, and your business details. You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, API keys, and mailbox app passwords.
  • All activities that occur under your account or API credentials.
  • Ensuring that the UPI ID (VPA) configured in your dashboard is owned and legally operated by you.
  • Complying with all applicable Indian laws, tax regulations, GST filings, and consumer protection guidelines.

4. Mailbox Integration & Security

If you elect to use the automated settlement confirmation feature by connecting a designated alert mailbox, you grant autoUPI Gateway permission to periodically scan incoming emails solely for transaction receipt alerts issued by your UPI provider (such as PhonePe, Google Pay, or Paytm).

autoUPI Gateway accesses only payment notification emails, does not read personal correspondence, and encrypts stored credentials using industry-standard AES encryption. You may revoke mailbox access at any time through your dashboard settings.

5. Plans, Limits & Subscription Fees

The Service is offered under multiple tiers, including:

  • Free Tier: Includes 3 payment QR codes total, 1 merchant account, and full REST API access with no recurring subscription fees.
  • Pro Tier: Provides 3,000 QR codes per 30-day billing cycle, unlimited payment links, and priority support. Subscriptions are billed upfront in Indian Rupees (INR).
  • Custom Tier: Tailored volumes, dedicated support, and enterprise terms agreed upon separately.

Plan limits reset according to your active billing cycle. Exceeding plan quotas may pause automated order generation until renewal or upgrade. Subscriptions and digital deliverables are subject to our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use autoUPI Gateway for any illegal, unauthorized, or prohibited activities. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sale of illegal goods, counterfeit items, narcotics, weapons, or unlicensed pharmaceuticals.
  • Gambling, betting, lotteries, or unauthorized financial pyramid/Ponzi schemes.
  • Phishing, malware distribution, fraudulent transactions, or impersonation of individuals or entities.
  • Attempting to probe, scan, or breach the security of the Service, API endpoints, or databases.
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or reverse engineering autoUPI Gateway proprietary software without explicit written consent.

Violation of this policy will result in immediate account termination, revocation of API access, and reporting to appropriate authorities where required by law.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, or error-free operation of the Service, nor do we guarantee the delivery times or uptime of third-party UPI apps, banking servers, or email providers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, autoUPI Gateway and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

8. Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated with an updated revision date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion for violations of these Terms.
